Are electronic signatures legally valid in Brazil?
They are — and the law that says so dates from 2001. What changed in 2020 was the split into three levels. Here is which one your contract needs.

Are electronic signatures legally valid in Brazil?
Yes. MP 2.200-2/2001 recognises electronic signatures and Law 14.063/2020 sorts them into three levels: simple, advanced and qualified. Verum Sign provides advanced signatures, with signer identification, a code sent through a separate channel and a full audit trail — and it also seals the document with the ICP-Brasil certificate of the company operating the platform.
Does the signer need a digital certificate?
No. The signer gets a link, reads the document and confirms with a code sent by e-mail or WhatsApp. The ICP-Brasil certificate is used by the platform to seal the final document, proving nothing changed afterwards.
How do I prove the document was not tampered with?
The final PDF carries a cryptographic seal. Any change, even a single character, breaks it and the PDF reader says so. On top of that, every document has a verification code: whoever received it types the code on the site and sees the full trail.
What if I want to leave the platform?
You export everything in a single file, with the sealed PDFs and each one's trail. The documents stay valid outside the platform, because the seal lives inside the file itself. Nothing is held hostage.
Is the free trial really free?
